the recent General Election, the National Management Board of the Constituencies Development Fund wishes to congratulate all Members of Parliament-elect upon their election.

PRESS STATEMENT
The National Management Committee of the
Constituencies Development Fund regrets that following the dissolution of
Parliament, there has been apparent misunderstanding in some constituencies
over the operations of CDF programs. Specifically, there have been claims that
the Constituency Development Committees have been dissolved.
Subsequently, the NMC wishes to clarify the

Development Fund has been drawn to the Editorial on the Standard on Tuesday, 7th,
August 2007 titled “Unravel Riddle in Nyeri Town CDF.â€ÂÂ
The
editorial raises questions on projects funded by CDF in the constituency. There
are claims that some of the projects listed in our official records are ghost
projects and that the cost of others whose existence is not in dispute has been
exaggerated.
