The Parliamentary Select Committee on CDF, the
Constituency Fund Committee (CFC), has two new members.
In the latest list of membership of Parliamentary
committees, Hon Charles Kilonzo and Hon Alfred Sambu were named to the CFC.

The
CDF Board participated in this year Agricultural Society of Kenya show at the
Njukiri grounds in Embu.
During
the event that took place from 18th – 20th June, 2009, visitors to
the CDF stand were treated to in-depth information on the activities of CDF
especially in specific constituencies of their interest.

The Constituencies Development
Fund Board has learnt with profound shock and disbelief of the sudden death of
Hon. Charles Lilechi Lugano, the MP for Shinyalu.
Hon. Lugano was a member of the
Constituency Fund Committee which is the Parliamentary select committee on CDF
that is responsible for initiating legislative and policy regulations for CDF.

 The constituencies Development Fund Board has appointed Mrs. Agnes Odhiambo as the new Chief Executive and Secretary to the Board. She replaces Mr. Timothy Gakuu who has been serving in an acting capacity.
Until her appointment, Mrs Odhiambo was the Director, Finance and Administration, Postbank. Previously, she held senior management positions in the private sector.
She holds a first class Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting) degree and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Nairobi. She is also a certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA (K). Mrs Odhiambo brings to the CDF Board more than 25 years experience in Financial Management gained in both private and public sector.
The Board congratulates Mrs. Odhiambo on her appointment and wishes her success in her new and challenging role of guiding CDF to greater development heights.
